Match four of six brought intense competition and even hotter conditions, with wind and heat challenging shooters during the Heavy Gun class. Standout performances came from both seasoned veterans and rising talent, including 12-year-old Wyatt Peyton and overall 2-Gun winner David Lockman.






St. Columbkille Catholic Church Hosts

5th ANNUAL TRAP SHOOT FUNDRAISER

On Sunday, July 20, St. Columbkille Catholic Church held its 5th Annual Trap Shoot Fundraiser at the Columbus Sportsman Club, benefiting the Pregnancy Support Center of Dodge County. Blessed with beautiful weather, the event brought families and friends together for a fun-filled day of community and charity. Attendees enjoyed exciting door prizes, gun raffles, and delicious food, making it a memorable occasion for all.

CLASSIC RIMFIRE MATCH


If you are interested in shooting the event sign up is available on Practice Score. The cost per person is $55 and lunch is included. All participants have a chance to be drawn for the prize table regardless of score! We have some very nice prizes this year!!


(In order to shoot the match you must sign up on the practiscore link above)


A quick overview below:


The event: September 6, 2025 starting at 8:00 am please arrive by 7:30 am


  • Participant shoots 5 to 7 steel targets in a stage, both pistol and Rifle (.22 only)

  • There are 5 stages for pistol and rifle

  • 5 magazines of 10 rounds are shot at each stage per gun

  • best 4 out of 5 are scored

  • Guns must be cased when brought to the shooting table

  • Optics or Iron Sites can be used

  • Required: 5 magazines for the pistol and Rifle are a must as reloading a magazine at the stage is not allowed

  • There is a stop plate that is engaged last, the order you shoot the steel in is optional but the stop plate must be engaged last. (It will be clearly marked)
