M-Tac is a separate competition from Freedom Benchrest. While it takes place on the same match days, it is designed for practical rifles and a broader range of shooters, rather than purpose-built benchrest equipment.
When does M-Tac take place?
M-Tac is held on the same dates as Freedom Benchrest matches and takes place immediately after the Tactical class has completed shooting.
Who can participate?
M-Tac is open to both CSA members and non-members. It is intended for shooters who are interested in long-range competition, including those who may be new to benchrest-style shooting.

What equipment can I use?
Shooters may use bipods, sandbags, or mechanical front rests. Rear bags are also permitted. Muzzle brakes and suppressors are allowed.
How is the match scored?
Each shooter fires four targets per match. Points are awarded for participation, smallest group, highest score, and overall performance. Points accumulate across the season.
